SuperSeries

Super Series is a new European Bowling tour that started 2003, with it´s first competition in Aalborg, Denmark. The new tournament has 6 tour stops and a grande finale in Jönköping, Sweden, during easter 2004. The prize money will be the highest ever in Sweden. Swedish Television, SVT, NRK, Norwegian Television and Viasat Denmark is broadcasting the finals from each tour stops live. The Grande Finale in Jönköping will be broadcasted live on Swedish National channel and can be wied all over the country. Today the tour stops are in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, but in a very short time, probably the season 2004/2005, the tour will expand to the rest of the European bowling countries. Those countries will probably be Germany, England, Spain, France and Italy.

Great Bowling Show in Varberg on Tuesday

The Ebonite Staff players including PBA-pro’s Doug Kent (pictured below) and Dino Castillo (pictured above) will form a team in a Trios competition in company with Mathias Årup. Winner of Olympia Tournament 2004 on the Super Series Tour.

Doug Kent. PBA-member since 1988, owner of six career PBA Tour titles. Last season he was really close to title number 7. Despite an avg. of 232 for the whole tournament he couldn’t take the Trophy from Walter Ray Williams Jr. in PBA Uniroyal Tire Classic.
He is no. 31 on the official ranking.

Dino Castillo gets the exemption for the season via the Tour Trials in June. He led the event for three of the five days before ultimately finishing 5th with a 221.5 average over 45 games of qualifying. Dino visited Helsingborg in 2003 and played the Olympia Tournament. He beat Niklas Linderholm by 3-0 but lose the game against the compatriot Robby Spigner just to end up in position #13 in the final standings.

Niklas will not go for any kind on revenge on Dino on Tuesday.
- No. My job is behind the lanes this time. As a co-ordinator for Bowltech and as a master of ceremonies I will do anything and everything to make this happening as memorable as possible. A lane performance from me is not on the list of things to be done.

Team Ebonite will compete against7 other Trios in this Show. One team is composed with players from Varberg, Martin Blixt, Martin and Rebecka Larsen. On team is a female one with Nina Flack, Christel Carlsson and Linda Haglund. Team Pergamon will show up with Tore Torgersen, Robert Andersson and Tony Fransson.

There will also be 4 Teams with 12 players from the Bowling High School in Nässjö.

Don’t hesitate to go to the SuperBowl in Varberg and see three PBA pro’s, four World Champions and propaganda Bowling from all the 24 players.
